Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments for patients, identifying dietary requirements, restrictions, and areas for intervention
- Formulate and implement individualized nutrition care plans based on clinical findings and physician recommendations
- Manage a caseload of at least 12 patients daily, ensuring effective and efficient service delivery
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of nutrition interventions, modifying care plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes
- Document all nutrition care information thoroughly and accurately in patient medical records
- Counsel and educate patients, their families, and healthcare professionals on nutrition management and support
- Collaborate with medical staff, nursing, pharmacy, and other hospital stakeholders to coordinate comprehensive patient care
- Oversee foodservice operations to maintain compliance with physician diet orders and quality standards
- Participate in hospital-wide quality assurance, performance improvement, and infection control programs
- Utilize telemedicine and related technologies to extend nutrition support services as needed

Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required, with completion of a Didactic Program in Dietetics
- Current registration as a Dietitian (RD/RDN) and maintenance of dietetic registration
- Commitment to ongoing professional education and credential maintenance (CEUs)
- Strong clinical judgment, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
