The Regional Operations Director is a senior leadership role responsible for the comprehensive oversight and strategic direction of multiple large-scale laundry facilities across a defined geographic area. This position ensures that each facility under their purview operates with optimal efficiency, maintains high standards of service, and achieves financial targets in alignment with organizational objectives. The Regional Operations Director collaborates directly with executive and corporate leadership to drive operational excellence, implement company policies, and uphold the organization’s reputation for delivering superior service to clients.
As the Regional Operations Director, you will be tasked with providing visionary leadership and hands-on management to plant leadership teams. Your focus will be on operational efficiency, quality assurance, and consistency of service across all facilities. You will play a pivotal role in developing and mentoring plant managers, ensuring that each facility has the right talent, proper staffing levels, and opportunities for professional growth. This leadership extends to succession planning and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within all regional teams.
The Regional Operations Director is accountable for monitoring and analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) related to productivity, service quality, safety, and cost control, and for establishing robust reporting processes to facilitate ongoing operational improvements. Fiscal responsibility is a cornerstone of this role, including oversight of revenue generation, expense management, profit optimization, budget preparation, and financial forecasting for each facility. Your ability to interpret financial data, implement cost-saving measures, and drive profitability will be essential to achieving organizational goals.
Building and maintaining strong client relationships is another key aspect of the Regional Operations Director position. You will work closely with customer accounts to ensure satisfaction, support contract renewals, and address any service concerns proactively. Supporting the sales process and ensuring the smooth onboarding and ramp-up of new accounts, particularly within healthcare and institutional environments, is a critical responsibility. Your leadership will help retain existing business and contribute to the overall growth of the organization.
Asset management, including oversight of engineering functions, preventive maintenance programs, and cost-effective plant operations, is also under your direction. Ensuring compliance with human resources policies and regulatory requirements, from training and staffing to payroll and benefits administration, is necessary to maintain a productive and legally compliant work environment.
