The role of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) – Interventional Radiology/Cath Lab is essential for delivering high-quality patient care in advanced medical imaging and interventional procedures. This position requires a skilled professional who can efficiently support cardiac, vascular, interventional radiology, and interventional neurology procedures by assisting physicians and ensuring optimal patient outcomes. Working in a dynamic healthcare environment, the Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) is responsible for a variety of clinical, technical, and patient-centered duties that directly contribute to the success of interventional procedures and overall patient health.

As a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) – Interventional Radiology/Cath Lab, you will actively participate in all aspects of patient care before, during, and after procedures. Your role includes scrubbing and monitoring procedures, managing vascular access sites, and providing symptom management, including the removal of sheaths as needed. The ability to take emergency and after-hours call is a critical component of this position, with a minimum of 15 call shifts typically required, ensuring timely response to urgent patient needs.

Scheduling is another important function, as you will coordinate both inpatient and outpatient procedures, working closely with clinical teams to optimize workflow and patient experience. Beyond procedure support, you will assist with admitting, recovering, and discharging patients, ensuring that each individual receives comprehensive care throughout their stay. This level of involvement requires a high degree of independence, as Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in this setting often serve as the first assist to physicians, making critical decisions and executing complex tasks.

To excel in this role, prior experience in a Cardiac Catheterization Lab (Cath Lab) is required, as well as proficiency in interventional radiology and interventional neurology. Candidates must hold an active ARRT license, with priority given to those with the appropriate state credentials. Additional certifications and demonstrated experience in CCL, interventional radiology, and neurointerventional procedures are essential for success in this position.
