Radio Communications Technician - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Program and document radio assets for Fire/EMS Departments using Motorola Customer Programming software and MCM Asset Tracking tool.
- Perform radio equipment installation, maintenance, and repairs at the Radio Shop as well as in-field locations such as Fire Stations and Dispatch Centers.
- Support the ongoing 2026 FireEMS Radio Reprogramming Project by ensuring all radio assets are accurately configured, tracked, and maintained.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to land mobile radio systems, including Astro 25 Radio System by Motorola.
- Coordinate with team members and department stakeholders to ensure timely completion of project milestones and service requests.
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate documentation for all radio equipment serviced or installed.
- Adhere to all company, industry, and safety standards in all aspects of work performed.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in telecom or radio support roles.
- Proven experience in land mobile radio programming and troubleshooting.
- Extensive hands-on experience with installation and repair of radio equipment, particularly in vehicles.
- Direct support experience with Motorola radio systems, especially the Astro 25 Radio System.
- Prior experience interfacing with City, Police, or Fire Departments is highly preferred.
- Strong organizational, documentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and within a collaborative team environment.
