As a Radiation Therapist (ARRT), you will be responsible for administering targeted ionizing radiation treatments to cancer patients under the supervision of a Radiation Oncologist. Radiation Therapist (ARRT) – Summary
- Provide radiation therapy treatments as prescribed by Radiation Oncologists.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Administer prescribed doses of radiation to patients using specialized equipment.
- Follow all treatment plans and protocols as directed by Radiation Oncologists.
- Position patients accurately for each treatment session, utilizing immobilization devices as necessary.
- Monitor patient responses and report any unusual reactions or side effects to the oncology team.
- Maintain detailed and accurate treatment documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Demonstrate a commitment to patient safety, consistently following all safety guidelines and procedures.
- Participate in team meetings, continuing education, and professional development opportunities.
- Support patients and families by providing information, reassurance, and compassionate care throughout the treatment process.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Graduate of an approved Radiation Therapy program.
- Current registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (A.R.R.T.) in Radiation Therapy.
- Licensed to practice Radiation Therapy in Illinois.
- Current CPR certification required.
- Demonstrated proficiency in administering radiation therapy treatments and utilizing associated technology.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards.
