Quality Engineer - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive quality assurance protocols and procedures to ensure product integrity.
- Conduct detailed quality control inspections on incoming materials and finished products, ensuring compliance with established standards.
- Manage and oversee quality assurance processes across all operational areas, promoting consistent standards and practices.
- Compile and publish regular quality management reports to inform decision-making and track improvements.
- Lead the implementation and ongoing management of document control systems to maintain accurate quality records.
- Support assembly operations, focusing on busway tap off boxes and ensuring adherence to quality specifications and requirements.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to identify, communicate, and resolve quality-related issues.
- Prepare and maintain critical quality documentation, including inspection reports, non-conformance reports, and corrective action plans.
- Train and mentor staff on quality assurance procedures, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical knowledge sharing.
- Initiate and lead continuous improvement projects aimed at enhancing product quality and operational efficiency.
- Ensure strict compliance with relevant industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal company policies.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Quality Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in quality assurance or quality control, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Background in electrical systems or previous experience as an electrician or in the manufacturing of electrical equipment.
- In-depth knowledge of quality assurance methodologies and tools, including FMEA, Control Plan, APQP, and PPAP.
- Certification in a recognized quality management system such as ISO 9001 or IATF 16949.
- Proficiency in conducting quality control inspections and implementing process improvements.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and analytical skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant quality management software.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as required by operational needs.
