Quality Engineer - Summary
The Quality Engineer is responsible for auditing manufacturing processes and finished products to validate adherence to internal and external standards. This includes conducting internal and process audits, supporting root cause analysis, managing corrective actions, and promoting initiatives that drive quality improvements. The Quality Engineer also plays a central role in data collection and analysis, providing actionable insights to production teams, and facilitating training and quality alert meetings as needed. The role requires a balance of technical expertise, analytical thinking, and excellent communication skills to ensure continuous compliance and improvement across all functions.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct audits of processes and products to verify compliance with quality standards and specifications.
- Ensure accurate and comprehensive data collection throughout all stages of production and inspection.
- Perform internal audits in accordance with regulatory, industry, and internal quality guidelines, including ISO standards.
- Initiate and follow up on process audits, ensuring the timely closure of open audits and corrective actions.
- Assist in root cause analysis for audit findings, tracking issues to resolution and supporting the implementation of corrective actions.
- Identify and initiate product or process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Maintain accurate audit records and support the filing of audit documentation for traceability and compliance.
- Monitor and report key quality metrics to inform business decisions and drive continuous improvement efforts.
- Prepare detailed reject reports, identifying trends and patterns in defects or process errors for further investigation.
- Provide immediate feedback to production teams regarding process deviations and quality concerns.
- Facilitate Quality Alert meetings and deliver process training sessions as needed to reinforce best practices.
