Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform and thoroughly document inspections on various products and processes, including aircraft seats, monuments, and components during repair procedures.
- Conduct receiving inspections for raw materials, parts, and components, ensuring compliance with exacting standards.
- Inspect first articles according to AS 9102 requirements, ensuring new processes and components meet necessary specifications.
- Prepare comprehensive in-process inspection reports, confirming completeness and accuracy for each stage of production.
- Maintain detailed quality documentation to uphold a reliable audit trail supporting manufacturing operations and customer requirements.
- Determine the serviceability of parts and components using appropriate inspection tools and establish the correct use of tooling.
- Utilize a range of precision inspection equipment, such as multi-meters, calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and bond meters.
- Read and interpret technical documentation, including blueprints and schematics, to validate product specifications.
- Operate and navigate PC-based manufacturing software and be proficient with MS Office Suite and Internet research tools.
- Collaborate effectively with coworkers and support team objectives in a dynamic production environment.
- Continuously identify and recommend opportunities for quality and process improvement.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, OR six months to one year of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License is highly desired for this position.
- Strong knowledge of inspection methods and tools relevant to FAA 145 repair stations.
- Solid understanding of Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) relevant to aircraft maintenance, particularly Part 145.
- High mechanical aptitude and the ability to read schematics and blueprints.
- Proficiency with computers, including familiarity with MS Office applications and manufacturing software.
- Ability to establish and follow procedures in a production-oriented environment with frequently changing priorities.
- Excellent problem-solving, decision making, and organizational skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills; self-motivation and the ability to multi-task and prioritize independently.
- Must be able to stand at least 75% of the workday and perform tasks requiring moderate physical activity, including lifting up to 10 pounds occasionally.
- Visual and color perception, along with strong depth perception, are necessary for inspection work.
- Ability to travel as needed for business requirements.
