QA Tester Job OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated QA Tester to join our remote quality assurance team on a full-time basis. As a QA Tester, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the overall quality and user experience of applications throughout their entire development lifecycle. This role involves working with applications from early development builds through pre-release versions, identifying and documenting issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance product quality before release to end users.
Responsibilities- Execute comprehensive testing scenarios and test cases across all phases of software development, including alpha, beta, and release candidate stages.
- Document and report bugs, performance concerns, and user experience issues as the application progresses through its lifecycle.
- Work collaboratively with development and product teams to offer timely feedback and facilitate prompt issue resolution, ensuring a high-quality user experience.
- Conduct thorough regression testing to confirm that new features do not negatively impact existing functionality or cause unforeseen issues.
- Prepare and submit regular, detailed reports—daily or weekly—summarizing application status, quality, and identified issues throughout the development lifecycle.
- Strong attention to detail and a solid understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Proficiency with remote collaboration tools, version control systems, and issue tracking software.
- Previous experience in software quality assurance, application testing, or a related field with a focus on continuous integration and delivery is preferred.
- Dependable internet connection and access to necessary mobile and/or desktop devices for testing purposes.
- Ability to adapt quickly to evolving software builds and effectively prioritize testing activities in a dynamic environment.
