QA Tester Position OverviewWe are currently seeking a detail-oriented and motivated QA Tester to join our team on a remote, full-time basis. As a QA Tester, you will play a vital role in ensuring the usability, quality, and functionality of our mobile and web platforms. This position is based remotely, with a focus on supporting projects in New York City, NY. You will work closely with development teams to identify and document bugs, provide actionable feedback, and help enhance user experience across a range of digital products.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough usability testing on mobile and web-based applications, following structured testing scenarios to uncover user experience issues and technical bugs.
- Document bugs, technical glitches, and usability pain points with detailed descriptions, screen captures, and step-by-step replication methods to support efficient troubleshooting.
- Collaborate directly with cross-functional development teams to communicate test findings, report issues, and offer recommendations for enhancements and optimizations.
- Verify that software features and functionality operate as intended across various devices, operating systems, browsers, and screen sizes to ensure a consistent user experience.
- Prepare and submit regular comprehensive reports—either daily or weekly—summarizing key findings, test results, and suggested improvements.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to meticulously follow structured test plans and instructions.
- Familiarity with remote collaboration tools and platforms commonly used in distributed work environments.
- Experience in quality assurance (QA), user testing, or related software testing roles is preferred but not required.
- Ability to clearly and concisely document technical issues and communicate feedback effectively with team members.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and regular access to a desktop, laptop, or mobile device for testing purposes.
