IDR is seeking a QA Test Manager to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Austin, Texas. This role involves leading quality assurance and testing activities for software development projects, ensuring comprehensive testing strategies, and coordinating efforts across teams in a fast-paced environment. The company operates within the government technology sector, focusing on modernization projects and process improvements.
Position Overview for the QA Test Manager:
- Perform highly advanced managerial tasks related to QA and testing activities, including analysis and testing of software systems.
- Lead activities during all phases of the system development lifecycle, diagnosing and resolving software issues.
- Define and review User Acceptance Testing (UAT) strategies, aligning resources and SME involvement.
- Coordinate feedback, review test cases, and act as the primary contact between IT, business users, and vendors.
- Oversee defect triage, root cause analysis, and reporting, ensuring testing milestones and exit criteria are met.
Requirements for the QA Test Manager:
- Oversee user acceptance, performance, accessibility, interface, security, and data conversion testing.
- Manage, perform, monitor, and report on test activities on modern technology platforms.
- Review, update, and create test strategies, test suites, and test cases.
- Document and report test results, data conversion issues, and defects.
- Provide training and mentoring to testing team members.
