Psychiatrist, MD | Psychiatric Mental Health Physician - Summary
- Deliver evidence-based psychiatric care to a diverse patient population in Alaska.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Utilize advanced clinical knowledge to diagnose and manage a range of psychiatric disorders.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations, assessments, and diagnostic interviews for patients presenting with mental health concerns.
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans, including pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions.
- Work closely with clinical and support staff to ensure coordinated care and optimal patient outcomes.
- Provide crisis intervention and manage acute psychiatric episodes as needed.
- Maintain accurate and thorough medical records in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Participate in case conferences, interdisciplinary meetings, and continuing education activities.
- Educate patients and their families about psychiatric conditions, treatment options, and strategies for long-term wellness.
- Uphold ethical standards and adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations.

Qualifications & Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
- Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Psychiatry.
- Valid and unrestricted medical license (or ability to obtain licensure) in the state of Alaska.
- Demonstrated experience in psychiatric mental health, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of a broad range of psychiatric disorders.
