Psychiatrist (MD/DO) – Summary
As a Psychiatrist (MD/DO), you will be responsible for delivering direct psychiatric care to a varied patient population. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary clinical team to assess, diagnose, and treat psychiatric and co-occurring substance use disorders. This position offers the chance to participate in the full spectrum of care, from acute inpatient treatment to partial hospitalization and outpatient services. The facility emphasizes evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI), as well as comprehensive medication management and individualized aftercare planning.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality psychiatric care to inpatients, partial hospital program patients, and outpatients in accordance with facility protocols and best practices.
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, develop differential diagnoses, and create individualized treatment plans for adults and adolescents.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of physicians, nurses, social workers, and allied health professionals to ensure coordinated, person-centered care.
- Engage in detailed documentation and communication with managed care organizations as needed.
- Participate in teaching, supervision, and mentorship of clinical staff and trainees to advance the field of psychiatric medicine.
- Support the development and implementation of trauma-informed, evidence-based treatment programs across inpatient and partial hospitalization settings.
- Contribute to patient education, group therapy sessions, and individualized aftercare planning to promote sustained recovery.
- Maintain compliance with facility policies, regulatory standards, and ethical guidelines in all aspects of psychiatric care.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
- Completion of an accredited psychiatry residency program.
- Board certification or board eligibility in Psychiatry (ABPN or equivalent).
- Licensed or eligible for medical licensure in Massachusetts.
- Demonstrated commitment to trauma-informed, evidence-based psychiatric practice.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team setting.
