Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) - Summary
- Provide comprehensive psychiatric assessment and ongoing care to patients in inpatient or outpatient settings.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct initial psychiatric evaluations and follow-up visits for patients across the lifespan.
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans in collaboration with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals.
- Provide medication management, crisis intervention, and therapeutic services as part of the behavioral health continuum.
- Participate in regular case conferences and interdisciplinary team meetings.
- Maintain detailed, accurate medical records in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
- For inpatient roles: Participate in hospital rounding, partner with hospitalists, and provide care during scheduled blocks, including some weekends.
- For outpatient roles: Maintain a flexible Monday–Friday schedule with no weekend requirements and minimal on-call duties.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Current, unrestricted license as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) or eligibility to obtain license.
- Certification as a PMHNP from an accredited program.
- Experience providing psychiatric care to patients in inpatient and/or outpatient settings preferred.
