The Property Manager – LIHTC is responsible for managing all aspects of community operations, from leasing and resident support to property maintenance coordination and regulatory adherence.
In this role, you will be entrusted with upholding the standards and compliance requirements of LIHTC and other housing programs, making a direct impact on community quality and resident satisfaction. Your attention to detail and organizational abilities will ensure all leasing activities are conducted efficiently, eligibility is determined accurately, and resident records are maintained in accordance with industry standards and Fair Housing Laws. Property Manager – LIHTC Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of community operations, ensuring ongoing compliance with LIHTC and special housing program requirements
- Conduct leasing activities, including eligibility screenings, rent calculations, lease signings, and move-in/move-out processes
- Support residents with occupancy-related needs, resolve complaints, and process transfer paperwork
- Coordinate with maintenance teams for timely repairs, inspections, and general property upkeep
- Administer annual resident re-certifications in partnership with the Compliance Manager
- Handle resident relations and oversee eviction procedures when necessary
- Maintain meticulous and organized resident files, ensuring compliance with Fair Housing Laws and other regulatory guidelines
- Participate in ongoing professional development and property management training
Salary & Benefits
- Competitive hourly pay range: $18 - $22 per hour

- Standard workweek: Monday–Thursday, 8:00am–4:30pm; Friday, 8:00am–3:00pm (37.5 hours per week)
Qualifications & Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Ability to pass the state Real Estate License exam within one year of employment
- Ability to obtain IRS Section 42 certification within one year of employment
- At least one year of administrative or property management experience (preferred in affordable housing or HUD programs)
- Experience with Yardi property management software is a plus
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is beneficial
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines independently
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for interaction with residents, colleagues, and supervisors
- Physical capability for prolonged desk work and occasional light lifting
