Project Engineer (PE) – Construction Summary
- Supports project managers in executing commercial construction projects from inception to completion.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to inform project planning and execution.
- Perform quantity take-offs and schematic estimating for both self-performed and subcontracted work.
- Participate in project scheduling and ensure deadlines are met.
- Gather and analyze quotes from subcontractors and material suppliers.
- Manage subcontractors, material suppliers, and oversee change orders to ensure project accuracy.
- Analyze alternative construction methods to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Prepare and manage owner and subcontractor billings, ensuring all financial documentation is current.
- Process submittals and Requests for Information (RFIs) to facilitate communication among project stakeholders.
- Resolve discrepancies by collecting and analyzing relevant information and coordinating with project teams.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Previous experience in commercial construction, ideally 0–3 years, is preferred.
- Familiarity with regulatory construction standards and industry best practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Project, Outlook), as well as software like Sage 100, Procore, and Bluebeam.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective information delivery and collaboration.
- Ability to facilitate teams and deliver information resourcefully and efficiently.
- Demonstrated knowledge of construction estimating, means and methods, project administration, and LEED certifications.
- Positive driving record may be required if travel is part of project assignments.
- Ability to represent the company publicly with professionalism.
- Excellent time management, organization, and creative problem-solving skills.
