Project Engineer – Construction Summary
- Serves as a key link between project stakeholders, including architects, owners, subcontractors, and internal teams.
- Assists with and supports all administrative and technical aspects of construction projects.
- Manages project documentation and ensures the smooth flow of information throughout all phases of construction.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide support to the Project Manager and field supervisory personnel to maintain project schedules and budgets.
- Gain a thorough understanding of all contract documents and the scope of work for each subcontractor to effectively assist field and office staff.
- Maintain a current and accurate Contract Drawing Log using Procore or similar construction management software.
- Organize and manage on-site project files, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date and readily accessible for project reference.
- Retain all relevant correspondence and project-related items in an organized filing system.
- Assist the project team in archiving files, plans, and documents upon project completion for future reference.
- Coordinate the acquisition, logging, tracking, and distribution of submittals from suppliers and subcontractors as required by project specifications.
- Manage key project information and documents, including pre-construction meeting records, requests for information (RFIs), potential change order requests, meeting minutes, permits and inspections, field coordination reports, scheduling updates, concrete pour schedules, close-out documents (warranties, guarantees, operations and maintenance manuals), and as-built drawings.
- Support field coordination and scheduling to optimize workflow and project milestones.
- Perform additional related duties as assigned to support the overall success of the project.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Familiarity with construction management software such as Procore, Timberline, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and P-6 scheduling tools; experience with Prolog or Expedition is also acceptable.
- Willingness to learn and adhere to company procedures and operating standards.
- Strong commitment to teamwork, with a readiness to support colleagues during critical project deadlines and tasks.
- Ability to work onsite at active construction projects, including working in job trailer settings and adapting to typical construction site conditions.
