Project Engineer – Commercial Construction (PE) Summary
- Serve as a technical leader on commercial construction projects, supporting project managers and field teams.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary project tasks from conception through completion to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Facilitate communication between clients, project managers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
- Maintain high standards for safety, compliance, and performance in every project phase.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare, schedule, coordinate, and monitor assigned engineering projects to align with project objectives.
- Ensure all activities comply with applicable codes, best practices, QA/QC policies, and performance standards.
- Engage daily with clients to interpret needs, provide updates, and represent client interests on-site.
- Oversee overall project quality control, including budget, scheduling, plans, and personnel performance, and provide regular project status reports.
- Assign responsibilities to project team members, mentor junior staff, and encourage professional development.
- Collaborate effectively with project managers and other participants, offering technical support and guidance.
- Review engineering deliverables and initiate corrective actions to maintain project quality and timelines.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, or a related field required.
- 3-4 years of relevant experience in commercial construction as a Project Engineer or similar role.
- Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Project.
- Excellent knowledge of design and visualization software such as AutoCAD.
- Experience with BIM or Revit and LEED Accreditation is a plus.
- Proven ability to work with multiple discipline projects and teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Solid understanding of industry rules, regulations, best practices, and performance standards.
- Strong project management, supervision, decision-making, and leadership skills.
