Project Engineer - Summary
- Serve as a key contributor to the planning, execution, and delivery of commercial construction projects.
- Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met on time and within budget.
- Gain hands-on experience with project documentation, scheduling, and quality control processes.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and manage project submittals and Requests for Information (RFIs) to ensure timely communication and resolution of issues.
- Review incoming submittals for accuracy and completeness before submission to owners or design teams.
- Maintain and update project schedules, including baseline and weekly progress tracking.
- Assist in developing and managing work plans, including pre-plan and post-plan processes, to optimize project delivery.
- Conduct quantity take-offs and prepare proposals to support project estimating and bidding activities.
- Participate in project safety initiatives and adhere to company safety standards.
- Interpret engineering, architectural, and construction drawings for project planning and execution.
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulatory requirements.
- Utilize software tools for job costing, reporting, scheduling, and online collaboration, including Procore, Microsoft Office Suite, MS Project, and Bluebeam (preferred).
- Support weekly project meetings by preparing agendas and documenting action items.
- Assist in managing environmental permits and compliance with applicable regulations.
- Maintain effective project document control to ensure accuracy and accessibility of project records.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field, or Construction Management Certification.
- Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.
- Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
- Familiarity with Procore, Microsoft Office Suite, MS Project, and Bluebeam preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
