This Project Coordinator role plays a critical part in managing crew logistics and operations for major maritime projects, including the high-profile Empire Wind project. Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with the crewing department to oversee the recruitment, scheduling, and deployment of crew members, ensuring all staffing requirements are met efficiently and effectively.
- Manage travel arrangements and logistics for crew members, including booking local hotels, organizing shuttle services, and coordinating catering to support seamless crew operations.
- Procure and oversee local services as required by the client to maintain optimal crew welfare and operational readiness.
- Serve as a point of contact for vessel crews and tugboats, acting under the guidance of the Marine Operations Manager to facilitate clear communication and operational support.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 years of administrative experience, preferably in project coordination or operations support roles.
- An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree is preferred, highlighting a strong educational foundation for this Project Coordinator position.
- Experience in marine crewing operations is a plus, though not required; a willingness to learn and adapt is highly valued.
- Excellent communication skills, strong problem-solving capabilities, a commitment to process improvement, and demonstrated project management abilities are essential for success as a Project Coordinator.
- Flexibility to travel occasionally to onshore sites or hotels as needed, especially during key events or operational milestones.
- Availability to work 12-hour days, sometimes up to 7 days per week when traveling, and willingness to participate in rotating schedules or be on-call to address emergency crew requests.
