Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse (PCU RN) - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Deliver and document patient care using the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Coordinate nursing care based on clinical practice standards and organizational protocols
- Collaborate with physicians, allied health professionals, and the broader care team to ensure integrated care delivery
- Support quality improvement initiatives and participate in organizational safety and compliance efforts
- Provide education and emotional support to patients and their families
- Maintain accurate, timely medical records and documentation
- Demonstrate clinical competence in managing patients in a progressive care/observation setting
- Utilize effective communication and interpersonal skills with patients, families, and colleagues
- Comply with all professional standards, including ANA standards and the Florida Nurse Practice Act
Salary & Benefits
- Competitive hourly wage based on experience and care area
- Relocation package valued at $12,000–$15,000+, including upfront relocation payment and additional expense support

Qualifications & Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited professional nursing program (Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred)
- Minimum of 1 year of recent acute care experience (department-specific requirements may apply)
- For PCU/Neuro positions: at least 1 year of recent hospital bedside experience required
- For Women’s Services/Endoscopy/OR/PICU: minimum 2 years of experience required
- Less than 2 years of RN experience: eligible for 50% of hiring incentives
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS) certification, valid for at least 90 days post-hire (may vary by department)
- Active Florida RN license required
- Strong communication, interpersonal, basic computer, and customer service skills
