Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) - Summary
As a Professional Land Surveyor (PLS), your core mission is to manage and execute land surveying projects with a high degree of accuracy and professionalism. You will act as the primary point of contact for both clients and project teams, providing technical guidance, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards, and delivering quality results. Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee land surveying projects from initial planning through final delivery, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
- Coordinate project schedules, prioritize deliverables, and maintain quality standards throughout the project life cycle.
- Review and certify a variety of survey documents, including boundary surveys, topographic surveys, ALTA/NSPS surveys, construction staking, and record maps with legal descriptions.
- Ensure strict compliance with California land surveying regulations, local agency requirements, and industry best practices.
- Provide technical oversight and support to both field crews and office staff, including reviewing field data, calculations, and verifying survey accuracy.
- Interpret and analyze survey data, legal descriptions, title reports, maps, plats, and construction documents to support project objectives.
- Utilize advanced survey software and technology to prepare and review project deliverables, supporting efficient and accurate results.
- Maintain strong, professional relationships as the primary contact for clients, consultants, contractors, and municipalities.
- Deliver project updates and technical guidance to stakeholders, supporting client satisfaction and successful project outcomes.
- Collaborate with internal project teams to ensure seamless coordination between field and office operations.

- Active California Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license required.

- Thorough understanding of California surveying regulations, local agency requirements, and industry standards.

- Preferred experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, survey data processing software, GPS, and total station equipment.
