Production Operator - Summary
As a Production Operator, you will be responsible for the safe handling and movement of glass materials throughout the warehouse and production areas. You will ensure that all products are properly labeled, inspected for quality, and transported using both manual methods and machinery. This role requires adherence to strict safety protocols and quality standards, making it well-suited for detail-oriented individuals who thrive in a manufacturing setting.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Safely move glass from tables, furnaces, rolling racks, delivery trucks, or wood crates for extended periods each day.
- Transport materials, including glass, from one area of the warehouse to another as needed for production demands.
- Accurately label all products to ensure correct identification and tracking throughout the production process.
- Conduct thorough quality inspection on all items and materials, ensuring they meet company and industry standards.
- Operate equipment such as forklifts, glass handling tools, or manually maneuver equipment as required.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to support overall safety and efficiency.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, reporting any hazards or incidents to supervisors promptly.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily production goals and deadlines.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment preferred but not required; experience in the glass industry is a plus.
- Ability to read, understand, and communicate information from paperwork and labels.
- Proficiency in basic mathematical measurements and effective use of a tape measure.
- Physical ability to lift up to 75 lbs unassisted and 150 lbs with a team member.
- Capability to stand for long periods and work in non-climate-controlled environments.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team to achieve production targets.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety standards.
