Production Operator - Summary
As a Production Operator, you will be responsible for managing the movement, labeling, inspection, and overall handling of glass materials within the warehouse and production areas. Your role will require you to work collaboratively with team members, operate equipment, and follow established safety and quality protocols at all times. The work environment is fast-paced and requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to daily business needs, including overtime as required.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Safely move glass materials from tables, furnaces, rolling racks, delivery trucks, or wood crates for extended periods throughout the day.
- Transport materials, including glass, from one location within the warehouse or production area to another as needed.
- Ensure all products are correctly labeled in accordance with company standards.
- Perform thorough quality inspections on glass items and materials to maintain high standards.
- Operate equipment safely and efficiently, including manually maneuvering materials and using machinery as required.
- Collaborate with other Production Operators and warehouse staff to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of tasks.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety regulations and protocols.
- Report any equipment malfunctions, material defects, or safety concerns to supervisors promptly.
- Adhere to all company policies regarding safety, quality, and productivity.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment is preferred; experience in the glass industry is an advantage, but not required.
- Ability to read, understand, and communicate information from paperwork and labels clearly and effectively.
- Competence in basic mathematical measurements and proficiency in using a tape measure.
- Readiness to work in all areas of production, adapting to different tasks as needed.
- Physical ability to lift up to 75 lbs unassisted and up to 150 lbs in a two-person team lift.
- Endurance to stand on your feet for extended periods throughout the work shift.
- Capability to work in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment.
- Strong ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
