Production Operator - Summary
The Production Operator is responsible for ensuring the efficient movement of glass materials throughout the production facility. This includes safely handling, labeling, and transporting glass items, as well as maintaining equipment and adhering to strict safety and quality protocols. The role requires physical stamina, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team-based environment.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Move glass from tables, furnaces, rolling racks, delivery trucks, or wood crates for extended periods each day.
- Transport materials, including glass, between designated locations within the warehouse and production areas.
- Ensure products are labeled correctly according to company standards and protocols.
- Perform quality inspections on all items and materials to maintain product excellence.
- Operate equipment as required, or manually maneuver equipment when necessary.
- Adhere to established safety procedures and company policies at all times.
- Contribute to a team-oriented environment and support colleagues as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment is preferred (glass industry experience is a plus but not required).
- Ability to read, understand, and communicate paperwork and product labels clearly and accurately.
- Proficiency in reading basic mathematical measurements and using a tape measure effectively.
- Capability to work in all areas of production, including environments that may not be climate-controlled.
- Physical ability to lift up to 75lbs unassisted and up to 150lbs as part of a two-person team lift.
- Ability to stand on your feet for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently or collaboratively as part of a team.
