Production Operator - Summary
- Responsible for the safe handling, labeling, inspection, and transportation of glass materials within a manufacturing and warehouse environment.
- Operates equipment and manually maneuvers materials to support production processes.
- Maintains quality and safety standards throughout all assigned tasks and work areas.
- Works closely with team members and supervisors to ensure efficient operations.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Safely move glass materials from tables, furnaces, rolling racks, delivery trucks, or wood crates for extended periods during each shift.
- Transport glass and related materials from one location in the warehouse to another as production needs dictate.
- Ensure proper and accurate labeling of all products to maintain traceability and compliance with company standards.
- Conduct quality inspections on glass items and materials to verify adherence to specifications and standards.
- Operate equipment and/or manually handle materials as needed to support the production process.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain an organized and efficient warehouse and production area.
- Follow all safety protocols, company policies, and operational procedures to ensure a safe working environment.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Previous experience in a production or warehouse environment is preferred; experience in the glass industry is a plus but not required.
- Ability to read, understand, and accurately communicate information from paperwork and product labels.
- Proficiency in basic mathematical measurements and use of a tape measure for material verification.
- Capable of working in all areas of production as needed.
- Physical ability to lift up to 75 lbs unassisted and 150 lbs as part of a two-person team lift.
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive movements throughout the shift.
- Willingness to work in a non-climate-controlled environment.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
