The Production Operator plays a critical role in supporting the core operations of a high-capacity commercial laundry plant. As a key member of the front-line production team, this position is responsible for ensuring that the production process runs smoothly and efficiently to consistently meet customer demands. The Production Operator may be tasked with a variety of essential functions within the plant environment, such as operating dryers and washers, sorting soiled linens, performing stain removal, sewing and mending items, folding, commercial ironing, packing, and preparing finished goods for distribution. This hands-on position is ideal for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting and are committed to upholding the highest standards of quality and safety.

- Operates key machinery and participates in core production tasks
- Supports production objectives by performing a range of laundry processing functions
- Ensures workflow efficiency and product quality
- Maintain the steady flow of linen and laundry items into tunnels, washers, dryers, and other equipment
- Efficiently pull bags and organize items for processing in the designated order
- Load linen into empty pockets in tunnel washers, ensuring each pocket is filled correctly and not overloaded
- Carefully monitor load sizes to prevent equipment issues and ensure thorough cleaning
- Follow all verbal and written directions from supervisors and adhere strictly to safety guidelines
- Meet or exceed established hourly production standards with accuracy and consistency
- Promptly notify supervisors of any technical issues or recurring problems that may impact productivity
- Participate in additional assigned duties to support the smooth operation of the plant
