Production Operator - SummaryThe Production Operator serves as a critical member of the plant's front-line production team, supporting the day-to-day operations necessary for efficient laundry processing. This role is responsible for handling a variety of production tasks, such as managing the flow of linens through washers, dryers, and tunnels, sorting and processing soiled items, conducting stain removal procedures, mending and sewing textiles, as well as folding, ironing, packaging, and distributing laundered items. The Production Operator ensures that all work is carried out in accordance with established quality and safety standards, directly contributing to high levels of customer satisfaction.
Duties & Responsibilities- Maintain continuous flow of linens into washers, dryers, and tunnel machines to support uninterrupted production cycles.
- Sort soiled textiles and prepare them for processing according to plant protocols.
- Load linens into designated machine pockets, ensuring proper load sizes to prevent overloading and equipment damage.
- Perform stain removal and spot treatment on various textiles to maintain quality standards.
- Carry out sewing and mending tasks to repair damaged linens and extend their usable life.
- Fold, iron, and package laundered items to prepare them for distribution to customers.
- Distribute finished products in accordance with customer specifications and plant schedules.
- Follow all safety procedures and production guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Notify supervisors of any technical issues or production delays to facilitate prompt resolution.
- Support additional duties as assigned to meet evolving production needs.
