The Production Operator plays a key role as an integral member of the front-line manufacturing team in a high-capacity commercial laundry environment. This Production Operator role encompasses a variety of responsibilities, including the operation of industrial dryers, washers, stain treatment stations, sewing and mending work areas, soil sorting lines, folding stations, commercial ironing equipment, and packing and distribution points. The focus of this position is on maintaining workflow, quality, and safety standards throughout the production process.
As a Production Operator, you will work with a diverse, collaborative team to help maintain the steady flow of linen and textile products through different stages of the laundry process. Production Operator - Summary- Serves as a vital member of a high-capacity commercial laundry production team.
- Supports daily operations in multiple production areas including drying, washing, sorting, ironing, folding, sewing, and packing.
- Ensures efficient movement and processing of linens and textiles to meet customer requirements.
- Maintains a consistent focus on safety, quality, and productivity throughout all assigned tasks.
- Maintain a steady flow of linens into production equipment such as tunnels, washers, and dryers.
- Properly load and unload linens to and from equipment, ensuring correct load sizes and preventing overloads.
- Process laundry activities in the designated order, including pulling bags, sorting, folding, ironing, and mending.
- Follow all established directions, safety protocols, and production guidelines.
- Meet or exceed hourly production standards as set by management.
- Communicate with supervisors regarding technical issues impacting production performance.
- Assist with other production activities and perform additional duties as assigned by management.
