The Production Operator plays a vital role as part of the production team in a high-capacity commercial laundry facility. As a member of the front line, the Production Operator is responsible for contributing to the daily operations that ensure customer needs are met through efficient processing, sorting, and handling of commercial laundry. This role involves a variety of tasks, including soil sorting, operating dryers and washers, stain removal, folding, ironing, packing, and distributing processed linens.
The Production Operator works collaboratively with other team members to maintain production standards, follow safety protocols, and ensure the highest quality of service. Production Operator - Summary- Key member of the commercial laundry production team
- Responsible for a variety of tasks within the production cycle
- Supports efficient and timely processing of linens to meet customer requirements
- Works in both soiled and clean linen areas as needed
- Sort soiled linens accurately into designated buggies according to company protocols
- Operate commercial dryers and washers to process laundry efficiently
- Perform stain removal tasks as assigned to ensure product quality
- Fold, iron, and pack clean linens for distribution
- Distribute processed linens to appropriate staging or delivery areas
- Pull bags and process laundry in the specified order to maintain workflow
- Adhere strictly to safety guidelines and report any hazards immediately
- Maintain production standards and communicate with supervisors regarding any technical issues affecting workflow
- Perform additional production tasks as assigned by supervisors or management
