The Production Operator plays a key role in supporting the daily operations of a high-capacity commercial laundry facility. As a vital member of the production team, this position is responsible for handling a range of essential tasks that directly impact the efficiency and quality of the plant's output. The Production Operator is engaged in a variety of duties including soil sorting, operating dryers and washers, stain treatment, folding, ironing, packing, and distributing finished products. Production Operator - Summary- Serves as an integral part of the commercial laundry plant’s production team
- Performs tasks such as sorting, washing, drying, ironing, folding, packing, and distributing linens
- Ensures production standards and safety protocols are consistently met
- Works collaboratively with team members and supervisors
- Sort soiled linen by category and place them in designated containers for processing
- Operate commercial washers, dryers, and ironing equipment as assigned
- Treat stains and ensure proper cleaning of all items according to plant guidelines
- Fold and pack clean linens for distribution to customers
- Maintain workflow by pulling bags or processing laundry activities in the prescribed order
- Monitor production output to meet or exceed established hourly standards
- Follow all safety procedures and use personal protective equipment as required
- Report technical issues or frequent equipment malfunctions to supervisors promptly
- Perform additional production-related duties as assigned by management
