The Production Operator plays a vital role as part of the front-line team within a high-capacity commercial laundry facility. The Production Operator will perform a variety of tasks associated with laundry production, including but not limited to operating dryers and washers, stain washing, sewing or mending, soil sorting, folding, commercial ironing, packing, and distributing laundry items. Production Operator - Summary- Integral member of the commercial laundry plant’s production team.
- Handles a wide array of production tasks to support daily operations and meet customer expectations.
- Works closely with other team members to ensure seamless workflow and process efficiency.
- Maintain the steady flow of linen and laundry items into washers, dryers, and other machinery.
- Load linens into machine pockets, ensuring proper load sizes and preventing overloads.
- Monitor production standards and maintain output as determined by hourly quotas.
- Operate various machines such as dryers, washers, and commercial irons as needed.
- Perform specialized tasks such as stain removal, sewing, mending, folding, packing, and distribution of laundry.
- Sort soiled laundry according to type and degree of soil.
- Follow safety protocols and company procedures at all times.
- Report technical or operational issues to supervisors promptly to minimize downtime.
- Assist with other production-related tasks as assigned by supervisors.
