The Production Operator serves as a key member of the front line production team in a commercial laundry facility. Production Operator - SummaryAs a Production Operator, you will be engaged in essential production activities that directly impact the delivery of commercial laundry services. This includes working in various stations of the production floor and soiled linen area, such as soil sorting, operating dryers and washers, stain treatment, folding, ironing, packing, and distribution. Your efforts will help ensure that the plant meets its daily performance targets while maintaining strict adherence to safety and quality protocols. The position offers an opportunity to develop valuable skills in a production environment and play an integral role in a collaborative team setting.
Duties & Responsibilities- Execute assigned production tasks, including but not limited to soil sorting, dryer operation, wash operation, stain treatment, folding, ironing, packing, and distribution of linens.
- Pull laundry bags and process items in the designated order to maintain workflow efficiency.
- Sort soiled linens into appropriate buggies according to established guidelines.
- Follow all instructions, production procedures, and safety protocols to ensure a safe and effective working environment.
- Meet or exceed predetermined production standards within allocated time frames for each shift.
- Notify supervisors promptly of any technical issues that may impact the ability to meet production goals or maintain quality standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations throughout the shift.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership to support overall plant operations.
