As a valued member of the production team, the Production Expediter helps keep operations running smoothly by monitoring the status of all parts and components and facilitating their movement through each stage of the manufacturing process. The Production Expediter must be comfortable with physical tasks such as lifting, loading, and unloading parts, as well as administrative duties like verifying paperwork and scanning documentation to update the status of parts. Production Expediter - Summary
- Supports the production team by moving and tracking parts throughout the shop environment.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Report directly to the Production Lead or Manager to receive daily priorities and assignments.
- Move parts and components throughout the facility, ensuring efficient workflow and timely delivery to the next stage of production.
- Maintain awareness of processing status for all parts within the shop, using tracking tools or systems as required.
- Load and unload parts into carts and other transport equipment as needed.
- Prioritize the movement of critical or time-sensitive parts to ensure deadlines are met and production is not delayed.
- Scan travelers and utilize digital systems to update and track the status of parts.
- Ensure all required paperwork and documentation accompanies each part or component at every stage of the process.
- Verify that all operational steps have been recorded on the traveler before moving parts to the next operation.
- Cross-check information on units and corresponding paperwork to maintain accuracy and compliance.
- Communicate clearly with other departments regarding the status and location of parts as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Previous experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or production environment preferred.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.

- Physical ability to move freely throughout the facility and lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and Windows-based programs.

- Valid driver’s license and ability to drive and operate company trucks required.
