Production Associate - Summary
As a Production Associate, you will be part of a dedicated team responsible for processing over 40 million pounds of laundry annually for a major healthcare system. Your work directly contributes to the health and safety of patients and staff by ensuring that all linens and garments meet strict cleanliness criteria. Working collaboratively, you will manage both the intake and output of linens, performing essential tasks that keep hospital and clinic operations running smoothly. Duties & Responsibilities
- Receive and sort inbound laundry shipments from multiple healthcare locations.
- Operate commercial laundry washers and dryers to process large volumes of linens efficiently.
- Fold clean laundry items by hand or using specialized folding equipment to meet quality and presentation standards.
- Handle folded linens and accurately place them into inventory carts for storage and distribution.
- Utilize pick tickets to select and load outbound carts, preparing orders for delivery to designated healthcare facilities.
- Follow all operational and safety protocols to create a secure and efficient work environment.
- Maintain established production standards, ensuring targets are consistently achieved each hour.
- Communicate promptly with supervisors regarding technical issues or obstacles impacting productivity.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned to support overall team and production goals.
