The Production Associate plays a vital role within the commercial laundry plant, ensuring the seamless operation of daily production activities. As a key member of the front-line production team, the Production Associate is responsible for supporting various aspects of the laundry process to ensure that customer needs are met efficiently and with the highest quality standards. This position covers a range of production-focused tasks, including but not limited to operating dryers and washers, sorting and preparing soil linen, handling stain washing, sewing and mending, as well as folding, ironing, packing, and distributing finished linens.
The Production Associate is expected to maintain a steady flow of linen through a variety of machines such as tunnels, washers, and dryers, and to carry out each assigned duty with care and attention to detail. Production Associate - Summary- Integral member of the commercial laundry plant production team
- Supports efficient operation of linen processing and finishing
- Performs a variety of production tasks to maintain workflow and meet customer requirements
- Ensures adherence to safety and quality standards
- Maintain a continuous flow of linen into tunnel washers, dryers, and other processing equipment
- Pull and process laundry bags or participate in other laundry activities according to established workflow
- Load linen into machine pockets, ensuring correct load sizes and avoiding overloading
- Follow all operational instructions and safety protocols
- Meet or exceed hourly production standards as set by the facility
- Monitor equipment and immediately notify supervisors of technical issues that impact production
- Perform other production or facility-related duties as assigned by supervisors
- Assist with folding, commercial ironing, sewing/mending, packing, and distributing finished linen products
