As a Product Manager – Industrial Automation, you will take ownership of a multi-million-dollar portfolio, including motor controls, transformers, and circuit protection products. You will play a central role in developing and executing the product strategy, managing the entire product lifecycle, and leading new product introductions (NPI). The position involves close collaboration with engineering, sales, operations, marketing, and supplier partners to ensure the portfolio’s success and long-term competitiveness.

Product Manager – Industrial Automation Summary
The Product Manager – Industrial Automation is responsible for driving the product strategy and lifecycle management for a suite of power and circuit protection products. This includes defining product roadmaps, analyzing market trends, and leading cross-functional initiatives to ensure the portfolio’s growth and alignment with market needs. The individual in this role will work closely with internal teams and external partners to maximize portfolio performance and deliver superior value to customers.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic, multi-year product roadmaps and category strategies for the industrial automation portfolio.
- Analyze industry trends, customer requirements, and competitor positioning to identify opportunities for growth and innovation.
- Lead the new product introduction (NPI) process, including supplier selection, pricing strategies, forecasting, and commercialization initiatives.
- Manage and nurture supplier relationships, negotiating agreements to optimize cost, quality, and delivery outcomes.
- Oversee all aspects of product lifecycle management, including obsolescence planning and end-of-life transitions.
- Support the go-to-market strategy, including product positioning, marketing enablement, and providing technical sales support.
- Collaborate with engineering, sales, operations, and marketing teams to drive product execution and market adoption.
- Offer technical product expertise and application support to both internal stakeholders and external customers.
- Monitor portfolio performance and recommend strategic adjustments to improve profitability and market share.
- Ensure continuous compliance with relevant industry standards and certifications, including UL, CSA, and CE.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline is preferred, with a strong emphasis on Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- 7–10+ years of experience working in industrial controls, automation environments, or closely related fields.
- Demonstrated experience in product management, controls engineering, applications engineering, or systems integration.
- In-depth technical knowledge of motor controls, transformers, and circuit protection products.
- Familiarity with industry regulatory standards such as UL, CSA, CE, or similar is preferred.
- Experience with CAD tools like AutoCAD or SolidWorks is a plus.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and project management abilities.
- Proven capacity to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment.
