Procurement Specialist - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Monitor and ensure compliance with budgetary guidelines for all assigned procurement areas
- Develop and implement supply chain policies to enhance service quality
- Oversee team selection, orientation, scheduling, and training to ensure optimal performance
- Facilitate clear communication of expectations and accountability within the team
- Partner with physicians, nurses, and managers to resolve supply and sterilization issues
- Engage with vendors to manage supply, linen, and equipment needs, and solve availability challenges
- Ensure adherence to hospital safety and regulatory guidelines
- Provide rotational on-call coverage during weekends, after-hours, and holidays

Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in supply chain or logistics management within a healthcare environment
- Strong understanding of medical/surgical supplies and sterilization practices
- At least 2 years of supervisory experience, including scheduling, coaching, and team accountability
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree or some college preferred
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with clinical teams and vendors
