Printer Technician - Summary
As a Printer Technician, you will be responsible for providing specialized support in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a broad range of printer hardware. Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform component-level troubleshooting and repair of circuit card assemblies (CCA) to restore printer functionality.
- Allocate appropriate time and resources for troubleshooting based on cost considerations and assembly line requirements.
- Complete thorough documentation for Material Review Board (MRB) dispositions related to defective or repaired assemblies.
- Assist the Purchasing team with the disposition of rejected and repaired CCAs, ensuring efficient workflow.
- Conduct routine and semi-complex testing of production assemblies according to documented procedures to ensure quality standards.
- Plan, prioritize, and execute work assignments to meet the needs of various internal customers.
- Demonstrate understanding and adherence to established organizational policies, protocols, and procedures.
- Set up and operate a variety of test and measurement equipment required for printer diagnostics and repairs.
- Start by handling basic tasks such as toner changes and progress to full printer support, eventually expanding into laptop support as experience grows.
- Install, diagnose, maintain, and repair laser, inkjet, thermal, and impact printers from multiple original equipment manufacturers (OEMs).

Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum of two years' experience with screen printing machines and tools, including design, usage, repair, and maintenance.
- Two years' knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, cost management, and other techniques related to printed goods manufacturing.
- Experience with laser trimmers, programming belt furnaces, and solder dipping processes.
- Proficiency in wire bonding and component placement.
- Strong mechanical, analytical, and troubleshooting abilities.
- Ability to document work and follow standardized protocols.
