Printer Operator - SummaryThe Printer Operator is responsible for the setup, operation, and ongoing monitoring of printing equipment in a manufacturing environment. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical skills, and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards throughout the production process. The ideal candidate will support the smooth operation of the production line, perform maintenance tasks, and adhere to safety and quality policies at all times.
Duties & Responsibilities- Set up and calibrate printing equipment based on job specifications and production requirements.
- Load and prepare necessary materials, such as inks and printing plates, for each production run.
- Adjust machine settings to ensure optimal print quality, color accuracy, and consistency.
- Monitor production runs, checking for issues like misprints, registration errors, or color inconsistencies, and correct them as needed.
- Conduct regular quality inspections to confirm that finished products meet all customer and company standards.
- Maintain comprehensive production records, including job numbers, machine settings, and quality check results.
- Keep accurate logs of production and quality metrics throughout each shift.
- Inspect printing equipment for signs of wear, defects, or operational concerns.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance and cleaning of machinery to ensure smooth operation.
