Print Production Supervisor - Summary
- Oversees print production workflow and staff coordination to meet daily production goals.
- Ensures timely and accurate completion of orders, maintaining compliance with internal service levels and industry standards.
- Leads, mentors, and supports print and finishing technicians as well as digital print operators.
- Directly operates finishing and digital print equipment when needed to meet production demands.
- Manages consumable inventories and ensures cleanliness, safety, and organization of the production environment.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Direct and lead the daily work of finishing technicians and digital print operators.
- Coordinate and monitor the production schedule to ensure timely order fulfillment.
- Oversee the integrity and organization of USPS presort mailings, including First-Class and Marketing Mail.
- Engage in production activities as a Digital Print Operator or Finishing Technician when necessary.
- Adjust machine settings and operate equipment according to job specifications.
- Ensure completion and documentation of daily equipment maintenance.
- Maintain high standards of output quality and meet shift production targets.
- Monitor and manage consumable supplies, communicating needs to management.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment in the bindery and print areas.
- Utilize advanced print and finishing equipment, including BQ-470, Mueller Martini Perfect Binders, Horizon Stitchliner 5500, paper cutters, trimmers, inserters, laminators, die cutters, and Ricoh/Oce digital printers.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Familiarity with high-speed digital printing concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Experience with USPS presort practices and procedures.
- Hands-on experience with perfect binders and saddle stitchers required.
- Proficiency operating Ricoh/Oce printers and print management software.
- Intermediate knowledge of Process Director, Prisma, and Fiery controllers.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Solid mathematical abilities and attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and planning skills, with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.
- Analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to maintain accurate and detailed production records.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Office 365 navigation and functionality.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Three to four years of experience in a print production environment required.
