Primary Care Physician (PCP) - Summary
- Full-time Primary Care Physician (PCP) role in a private practice setting
- Care for adult patients under private Medicare and private insurance plans
- Blend of value-based care and RVU-based compensation models
- Join a close-knit team with an average of 12-15 patient visits per day
- Focus on continuity of care, managing chronic conditions, and comprehensive patient wellness
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide primary care services to adult patients, including diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of acute and chronic health conditions
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop personalized treatment plans
- Spend ample time with each patient (approximately 30 minutes per visit) to ensure high-quality care and satisfaction
- See patients at regular intervals (every 3-4 months) for preventive and follow-up care
- Effectively manage chronic diseases independently, minimizing unnecessary referrals
- Participate in shared call rotation with other physicians for after-hours coverage
- Take hospital admissions as required
- Utilize value-based care metrics to optimize patient outcomes and practice performance
- Collaborate with a medical assistant (MA) and front-office staff to ensure efficient patient flow and care coordination
- Document all patient interactions and care provided in accordance with practice policies and regulatory requirements
- Support the practice’s mission of delivering patient-centered, high-quality healthcare
Salary & Benefits
- Competitive base salary commensurate with experience and qualifications
- Bonus structure based on practice performance and internal review
- First two years typically yield total earnings around $250,000
- Potential for future profit-sharing program based on long-term success
- Standard office hours: Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM; weekends off
- Shared on-call responsibilities among physicians
Qualifications & Requirements
- Board certification in Internal Medicine (IM) or Family Medicine (FM) required
- Residency training in IM or FM completed
- Minimum 2 years post-residency experience, able to practice independently
- Demonstrated experience managing chronic medical conditions
- Ability to take hospital admissions
- Preferred: Russian language proficiency
- Preferred: Experience or familiarity with value-based care (VBC) metrics
- Commitment to providing patient-centered, evidence-based primary care
