Primary Care Physician (PCP) Overview

Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive primary care services to patients across a broad age spectrum in an outpatient setting.
- Conduct thorough medical assessments, diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, and provide preventive care.
- Develop personalized care plans that prioritize patient education, wellness, and long-term health outcomes.
- Coordinate with other healthcare professionals, including specialists, nurses, and support staff, to ensure seamless patient care.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential medical records in compliance with all regulatory standards.
- Participate in practice meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to remain current with advances in primary care medicine.
Qualifications
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
- Completion of an accredited residency program in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or a related primary care specialty.
- Board certification or board eligibility in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or a relevant field.
- Active and unrestricted medical license (or eligibility for licensure) in the state of Arkansas.
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational abilities.
- Commitment to delivering compassionate, evidence-based care to a diverse patient population.
Practice Schedule and Employment Type
- Full-time position based in Mountain Home, Arkansas.
- Work schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
- Each physician receives one weekday off per week and an alternating four-day weekend approximately once per month.
- 100% outpatient care with no hospital call responsibilities and minimal phone call requirements.
