Primary Care Physician (PCP) Position OverviewA leading private practice in Wichita Falls, Texas, is seeking a dedicated Primary Care Physician (PCP) to join their established team. As a Primary Care Physician, you will play a key role in promoting health and wellness, as well as diagnosing and managing a wide range of acute and chronic conditions.
Responsibilities- Deliver patient-centered, comprehensive primary care services in a 100% outpatient setting.
- Conduct thorough medical examinations, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Manage chronic diseases such as hypertension, diabetes, and cardiovascular conditions, providing ongoing support and education to patients.
- Address acute illnesses and minor injuries, referring to specialists or higher levels of care as needed.
- Coordinate preventive care, including immunizations, screenings, and wellness visits.
- Maintain detailed and accurate electronic health records in compliance with all legal and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals within the practice to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Provide patient education and counseling, promoting healthy lifestyle choices and preventive care practices.
- Participate in minimal phone call coverage, with no hospital call responsibilities.
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school.
- Board certification or board eligibility in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or a related primary care specialty.
- Active, unrestricted medical license to practice in Texas or eligibility to obtain one.
- Strong clinical skills and a commitment to providing high-quality, patient-focused care.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
