Primary Care Physician (PCP) Position Overview
We are seeking a committed and compassionate Primary Care Physician (PCP) to join an established private practice in Louisiana. This is a full-time, 100% outpatient position offering a rewarding opportunity to make a significant impact on the health and wellness of the local community. Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive primary care services to a diverse patient population, focusing on preventative health, diagnosis, and management of acute and chronic conditions.
- Conduct routine physical examinations, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Educate patients and families on disease prevention, lifestyle modifications, and health maintenance strategies.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals within the practice to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care.
- Use electronic health records for accurate documentation of patient encounters and follow-up care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to evidence-based clinical guidelines.
- Provide referrals to specialists when appropriate and coordinate ongoing care.
Qualifications
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
- Completion of an accredited residency program in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
- Board certification or board eligibility in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
- Active and unrestricted medical license in the state of Louisiana or ability to obtain licensure prior to start date.
- Strong clinical skills and commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
