Primary Care Physician (PCP) Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and patient-focused Primary Care Physician (PCP) to join our innovative team in Atlanta, GA. This full-time position is an excellent opportunity for a physician who is passionate about delivering value-based healthcare to Medicare patient populations. Our organization operates a network of neighborhood primary care centers that prioritize patient outcomes, preventive medicine, and coordinated care. Physicians at our Atlanta, GA facility are supported by a robust care team, enabling them to focus on providing high-quality care with an emphasis on positive health outcomes over service volume.
Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive primary care services to a diverse Medicare patient panel in a full-time capacity.
- Work collaboratively with a dedicated care team, including scribes, medical assistants, and social workers, to ensure coordinated and efficient patient care.
- Manage a patient volume of approximately 13-16 patients per day, allowing for thorough visits and personalized care.
- Conduct regular visits (20 minutes) and full diagnostic or new patient visits (40 minutes), ensuring each patient receives appropriate attention.
- Utilize in-clinic resources such as onsite labs and access to medical specialists via RubiconMD to enhance diagnostic and treatment capabilities.
- Leverage electronic medical records (EMR) systems including Canopy and Greenway for accurate and timely documentation.
- Uphold a value-based health model that aims to reduce unnecessary hospital admissions and focus on preventive strategies.
- Promote patient engagement by supporting community room activities such as exercise, educational events, and wellness programs.
- Contribute to a collaborative clinic environment with an average of 3-5 providers, including other Primary Care Physicians and Nurse Practitioners.
Qualifications
- Medical Doctor (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) degree from an accredited institution.
- Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
- Active, unrestricted, and non-probationary medical license to practice in Georgia.
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is required to best serve our patient population.
- Fellowship training in Geriatrics is preferred but not required.
- Residency completion required; current residents are not eligible for this position.

Employment Type
