Primary Care Physician (MD/DO, FM/IM) – St. Petersburg, FL – Full-Time
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Primary Care Physician (MD/DO, FM/IM) to join our innovative healthcare team in St. Petersburg, FL. As a provider committed to delivering value-based care, you will play a critical role in improving the health and well-being of seniors in our vibrant, wellness-focused community clinic. This is a full-time, outpatient position offering a supportive environment with robust resources to help you deliver best-in-class care to your patients.
Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive outpatient primary care to a senior patient population, focusing on patients with multiple complex conditions such as heart disease, diabetes, and hypertension.
- Provide patient-centered care in a collaborative, team-based setting utilizing a value-based care model that prioritizes quality outcomes and patient satisfaction.
- Work with a dedicated care team, including medical assistants, schedulers, referral specialists, and supportive leadership, to ensure continuity of care and optimal patient experiences.
- Manage a panel size of up to 650 patients, averaging 10-12 patient visits per day to allow for thorough, individualized care.
- Perform office procedures such as suturing, joint injections, skin biopsies, and basic wound care as needed.
- Uphold compliance with HEDIS measures and contribute to reducing hospitalizations through proactive and preventative care strategies.
- Participate in a call schedule determined by the number of providers in the local market, ensuring a fair and balanced workload.
- Demonstrate and model the company’s core values and contribute to a respectful, inclusive, and welcoming environment for all patients and staff members.
Qualifications
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree required.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine (FM) or Internal Medicine (IM) required.
- Fellowship in Geriatrics is a plus but not required.
- Current, unrestricted, and active license to practice medicine in the state of Florida.
- Current DEA registration.
- Proficiency in common primary care office procedures.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a genuine commitment to senior health and wellness.
