Primary Care Physician (MD/DO, FM/IM) – Full-Time Overview
This is an outstanding opportunity for a dedicated Primary Care Physician (MD/DO, FM/IM) to join a dynamic healthcare team in Winston-Salem, NC. As a full-time provider, you will be part of an innovative, patient-centered medical group, delivering comprehensive healthcare services in a supportive and welcoming environment. The clinic is focused on providing high-quality, value-based care to a senior population with complex medical needs, helping to improve health outcomes and foster a sense of community wellness.
Responsibilities
- Deliver primary care services in an outpatient setting, focusing on seniors with multiple chronic conditions such as heart disease, diabetes, and hypertension.
- Manage a patient panel of up to 650 individuals, seeing an average of 10-12 patients per day.
- Practice in a value-based care model, emphasizing quality of care, patient satisfaction, and adherence to evidence-based clinical guidelines (including HEDIS compliance).
- Work collaboratively with your dedicated care team, including a medical assistant, scheduler, referral specialist, and support from clinic leadership.
- Participate in a call schedule based on the number of providers in the market (for example, 1:32 weeks if there are 32 physicians).
- Utilize proficient skills in office-based procedures such as suturing, joint injections, skin biopsies, and basic wound care.
- Start date is targeted for May 2025, coinciding with the opening of a new center.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine (FM) or Internal Medicine (IM).
- Fellowship training in Geriatrics is a plus, but not required.
- Current, unrestricted, and active medical license to practice medicine.
- Current DEA registration.
- Demonstrated proficiency in primary care office procedures.
