Primary Care Physician (MD/DO) – Summary
- Deliver high-quality, value-based primary care to Medicare patient populations in Tucson, AZ

Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, focusing on preventive medicine, chronic disease management, and patient education
- Manage a daily patient volume of approximately 13-16 individuals, ensuring ample time for each appointment (20 minutes for standard visits, 40 minutes for new or complex cases)
- Utilize electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Canopy and Greenway to document and coordinate care
- Work alongside a dedicated team including scribes, medical assistants, and social workers to deliver holistic care
- Order and interpret laboratory tests with onsite phlebotomy support
- Collaborate with specialists via platforms such as RubiconMD to ensure comprehensive patient management
- Support and participate in clinic-based community activities to promote wellness and patient engagement
- Adhere to the principles of value-based healthcare, with performance metrics tied to patient outcomes, quality of care, and preventative health measures
- Provide leadership and mentorship within a multi-provider clinic setting (including NPs and fellow physicians)

Qualifications & Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree required
- Board certification or board eligibility in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
- Active, unrestricted state medical license (non-probationary status)
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred to serve a diverse patient population
- Fellowship training in Geriatrics is advantageous but not required
- No current residents; this opportunity is for practicing physicians
