We are seeking a dedicated Primary Care Physician (MD/DO) for a full-time, locum tenens opportunity. Key Responsibilities
- Deliver primary outpatient medical care to a diverse panel of senior patients, many of whom present with complex conditions such as heart disease, diabetes, and hypertension.
- Work within a value-based care framework to optimize patient outcomes and enhance the overall health of the community served.
- Manage a patient panel with a maximum of 650 individuals, averaging 10-12 patient visits per day to ensure thorough, individualized attention.
- Coordinate with a dedicated care team, including a medical assistant, scheduler, referral specialist, and receive full leadership support to streamline patient care and administrative tasks.
- Provide continuity of care by building meaningful, long-term relationships with patients and their families.
- Perform office-based procedures such as suturing, joint injections, skin biopsies, and basic wound care as needed.
- Participate in multidisciplinary activities aimed at promoting wellness among seniors, including exercise and art programs.
- Uphold best-in-class standards for ethical, patient-centered medical practice.
Role Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
- Board Certification in Family Medicine (FM) or Internal Medicine (IM) is required.
- Active, unrestricted medical license to practice medicine in the relevant state.
- Current DEA registration for prescribing medications.
- Experience or proficiency in office-based procedures such as suturing, joint injections, skin biopsies, and basic wound care.
- A fellowship in Geriatrics is a plus but not required for this primary care physician position.
- Demonstrated commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate care to seniors with multiple chronic conditions.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with a multi-disciplinary care team.
